Beyond the high-quality synchronized skating that our teams produce each season, skaters and families join the Team Excel organization because:
We develop athletes both on and off the ice.
The Team Excel organization prides itself on being a community that spans far greater than the ice surface. Our leadership and coaching staff are driven by the value of developing our skaters into strong and competent individuals both on and off of the ice. Teaching far beyond skating skills, our coaches are dedicated to motivating our athletes to be their absolute best in the pursuit of excellence in all areas of their lives.
We foster friendships.
Team Excel skaters meet teammates from a variety of backgrounds. We believe in providing skaters opportunities to get to know one another and support team bonding events throughout the season. Spending time with one another both in and out of the ice rink helps develop friendships that will last a lifetime!
We promote a healthy skating and life balance.
Our Team Excel skaters are also able to pursue other interests outside of synchro, including other disciplines of skating, high school sports, and a variety of performing arts opportunities. We support athletes that engage in other extra-curricular activities because it helps create well rounded individuals!
We believe in family first.
Our synchro season at Team Excel is family driven, providing opportunities throughout the year to spend time with loved ones. This includes a condensed summer schedule and a brief holiday break for all divisions!
We provide performance opportunities.
With smaller roster sizes and ample competition and exhibition performances each season, our coaching staff strives to give all skaters the opportunity to demonstrate their skills. We feel strongly that the development of a synchro skater is dependent on performance experience. Larger rosters are not conducive to providing this type of opportunity for the athletes.
We support academics.
We provide the ability for skaters to balance their academic studies with a competitive synchro experience. Our skaters represent a variety of schools, and our in-season practice schedule promotes ample study time for success!
We encourage parent involvement.
Volunteer participation is essential to the success of Team Excel! There are a variety of ways for parents to become involved within the organization and aid in supporting a positive experience for our teams.
